Guidebooks & Resources

Most Harvard Schools have a faculty guidebook that offers a wealth of information for new faculty members. Information in these books may include everything from the academic appointment process and specific responsibilities and grading policies, to research guidelines and protocols, authorship, and use of the Harvard name. Most of the guidebooks are online, either through general internet or through the Harvard employee intranet. For example, the faculty guidebook for the Faculty of Arts and Sciences formerly known as the "Grey Book" may be found at http://www.fas.harvard.edu/~research/greybook/

Managing your Research is a faculty guide that aids in the mechanics of submitting proposals, while fulfilling your responsibilities in administering internally and externally funded research. It also provides an overview of research policies and procedures.
