Building Community

Harvard University is a highly decentralized organization consisting of twelve Schools, each with its own culture and systems. The Office of Faculty Development and Diversity was designed to build community University-wide and is located in the Central Administration offices in Cambridge (Holyoke Center, 1350 Massachusetts Avenue, Suite 880). In keeping with its major objectives of improving faculty development and diversity and improving work-life conditions for all faculty members, The Office of Faculty Development and Diversity has provided development funds for a number of Harvard community projects. These include supportive initiatives beginning at the undergraduate level and following through the doctoral, postdoctoral and junior and senior faculty.
