Faculty Appointment Administration

Working closely with the President and Provost, the Senior Vice Provost for Faculty Development & Diversity serves as a key adviser in the ad hoc tenure process, chairs the Provost’s Appointments Review Committee, monitors search and appointments processes, and reviews prospective faculty appointments. One aspect of FD&D’s central role in administering faculty appointments is to ensure that faculty job titles and codes are used consistently and equitably across Schools. The Faculty Job Codes document available for download to the right outlines job codes that should be used when entering faculty appointments into Peoplesoft.  This document has been created in order to establish University-wide best practices for faculty appointment titles and reporting.
