Find a Fellowship

There are numerous fellowships available to students and postdoctoral fellows at Harvard University. This area of the Office of Faculty Development and Diversity (FD&D) website provides an overview of some of the resources available to help guide your search for fellowships that will best meet your needs. Some of these resources are designed to assist particular populations, but many of the fellowships listed are available to all trainees who meet the eligibility criteria.

Graduate Students

The GSAS Fellowship Office provides a range of services to assist graduate students in their search for fellowship funding, as well as dealing with many issues related to professional development. The Office also administers major GSAS fellowship competitions, working closely with the staff of the Financial Aid Office in the implementation of fellowship awards.

The Graduate Guide to Grants presents a comprehensive list of fellowships and grants for graduate students. In addition to providing updated information on an ongoing basis, this guide assists in identifying fellowship opportunities based on citizenship requirements, stage of graduate study, research abroad, fellowship deadlines organized by month, and many other criteria. To access the guide, which is published annually, you will need your Harvard PIN and ID.

Postdoctoral Fellows

The Harvard Guide to Postdoctoral Fellowships, published by the Office for Postdoctoral Affairs, is a comprehensive guide and searchable index of postdoctoral fellowships from the Harvard Graduate School of Arts and Sciences.

In addition to publishing the Harvard Guide to Postdoctoral Fellowships, the Office for Postdoctoral Affairs provides links to a number of external funding resources.
